1938 Mills 5 Cent Brown Front Cherry Bell

Here is a beautiful 1938 Mills 5 cent Brown Front slot. If you are thinking it looks just like a 1937 "Bursting Cherry", you would be correct. Mills had a huge hit on its hands when it introduced the 1937 Cherry, AKA Bursting Cherry, and followed it with the 1938 Brown Front, a machine which went on to outsell its earlier relative from the very first day! Using the same cabinet as the Cherry, it featured a muted color scheme to avoid drawing the attention of the cops, and had several new features designed to make it more difficult to jimmy for free coins. In addition, the Brown Front's handle was more ergonomically shaped, alowing a player to play longer with less fatigue. Whatever you call it, the raised diamond faceted cherry medallion on the front, surrounded by the giant sunburst, was an eye catching design, sure to encourage players to give it a whirl.

This slot has been beautifully restored and appears to have been replated in period authentic nickel plating, rather than the sometimes overly bright chrome. It has an original Mills back door and lock, even including the "Mr Owner:" label on the back of the door! The slot pays and pays exactly as it should, and has a nice spin to the reels.

This will look fantastic in a library, den, office or gameroom, and is sure to bring its owner years of joy and excitement. Grab this clasic Mills slot before it gets away!!
