Columbus Vending Company made the Columbus Model MB in 1928. It came in three very similar versions, the M, the MG, and the MB. While the MG dispensed gum for a penny, the models M and MB dispensed a handful of nuts or other small candy. The model MB differed from the others mainly in that it was a nickle machine rather than a penny.
This Columbus is recognized as an instant classic by gumball and nut machine colllectors worldwide! Many people have an antique vendor such as this in a convenient corner of their kitchen counter or a rec rooom shelf for a little color and visual interest. You can fill it with peanuts, cashews, pistachios, or even M&M's, although your biggest challenge may be keeping it filled!
With a nice original decal still gracing the globe, this Columbus would make a great addition to anyone's home bar or gameroom!!
