Bally's 1981 Centaur II is one of the most unique and highly desired games of the decade! With stunning black and white artwork featuring a half-man, half-motorcycle character, nothing quite like it has ever been seen before or since. Centaur is a title that is high on everyone's list of must have pinballs, and for good reason!
Besides the stunning artwork, Centaur has a fantastic sound package. It features a menacing reverberation effect along with a very large vocabulary of approximately 30 or more words. Players must learn to concentrate as Centaur laughs mockingly at them, taunting the player with such phrases a "Slow, aren't you?" for missed shots and "No class, human!" for a tilt. And the playfield layout is a masterpiece! Players can achieve up to 5 ball multi-ball play by hitting the correct targets in the proper sequence. And there are plenty of other targets to shoot for on the loaded playfield. Drop targets, in-line drop targets, lane change, roll over buttons, captive balls, hidden magnets to temporarily hold the ball, Specials - what more could you ask for? In addition, before a game, the player can get a quick tutorial from Centaur by pressing a flipper button. Centaur will introduce itself with "Challange me!", and then proceed to light and call out each of the game's five major playfield features. This is one game that you will come back to over and over again!
Centaur II boasts an excellent playfield, backglass, and cabinet. It has been thoroughly refurbished for trouble-free play. Even the sound board has been rebuilt for crisp and clear sound. Centaur II is calling you- CHALLENGE ME!!!!
